Supplies Needed:
- Honeycomb Beeswax Sheets – Cloud 9 (White) 1 sheet makes 5 candles
- Smooth Beeswax Sheets – Midnight Black 1 sheet makes 15 candles
- Beeswax Sheets (smooth or honeycomb) – various colours for filler
- Wick – LX1865 or #1/0 Square Braid
- Hobby Knife
- Cutting Mat
- Metal Edged Ruler
Instructions:
1. Cut the White Honeycomb sheets length ways into 5 equal
strips (approx 1.75” wide).
2. Cut the Black Smooth sheets lengthways into 5 equal strips to match. Now cut each of those strips into 3 pieces
(approx 5.5” long).
3. Cut each of the coloured sheets into 5 strips, and then cut each into approx 10 pieces. Roll one piece of each of the colours and press firmly around the wick.
4. Gently warm a white strip with a hairdryer to make it more pliable. Roll one white strip around the coloured wax.
5. Roll one black strip around the outside of the candle. Trim the wick to ¼” before lighting.
You can make accent pieces of Ginger and Wasabi too! To make Ginger, cut some thin strips of smooth Adobe Orange or Peach beeswax sheets and form into a floweret shape. To make Wasabi, simply take a small piece of Cilantro Beeswax sheet and squish with your fingers, forming it into the desired shape.
